Gwangju Agricultural Technology Center will hold the 3rd Traditional Sauce Making Event.

Gwangju City Agricultural Technology Center(ATC) will hold 'The 3rd Korean Traditional Sauce(Jang) Making Event'

This event will be consisted of total 3 sessions, to allow participants to experience the actual making and maturing of soy sauce and soy bean paste—on February 18, April 8, and September 9—and will also touch the subjects of traditional Jang(Korean sauce) culture and the recipe for 'Gochujang', the Korean chili paste. The 65th traditional food master Jeongja Baek will lead this event.

Families with children and teenagers can participate this event, and the participation fee is 50,000 won. Participants can take 5 kilograms of soy bean paste and 2 liters of soy sauce.

Also, additional events like tteok(Korean traditional rice cake) making experience, Korean folk games(kite-making, Korean traditional board game, arrow-throwing, etc.), and rice harvesting experience(drying and threshing rice plants) are arranged.

To participate this event, register in Yeollinmadang education•field trip menu on Gwangju ATC homepage(http://agri.gwangju.go.kr), from February 1st to February 7th. First come, first served.
